Meet The Designing Women of Tyler, TX
Designing Women is proud to have been serving Tyler, TX and the surrounding area with quality flooring, tile, window treatments, and wallpaper since 1989. From purchase to installation, our skilled consultants can help bring your vision to life.
Owner and lead designer, Sandy Bennett, purchased the store in 2016. Sandy studied design at Baylor University and received a degree in Interior Design with a minor in Art History. Her design career began with an internship at The Bryan Design Associates, a high-end design firm. She stayed on at The Bryan Design Associates until an opportunity took her to work at Pearson English Architectural Design, where she space planned in commercial high-rise buildings in Houston. From there she went on to representative positions: first for a flooring dealer at Design Brokers, and then Anderson Floor Covering. The experience gained in Houston made it easy for her to transition into a business in her hometown, Tyler, where she could raise her children.
Sandy enjoys spending free time with her 3 children and 4 rescue pets. Hosting holiday gatherings and special occasions with family & close friends is a family tradition. Home is always a place of great joy.
Sandy has also been community focused over the years, serving as Women’s Symphony League President, board member for The Children’s Advocacy Center, and Hollytree Country Club. As well as multiple committees for Cystic Fibrosis, Marvin Methodist Church, and All Saints Episcopal School.
Sarah’s passion for design and cultural arts led her to a position at Designing Women in 2022. She loves helping people design spaces that tell a story in every detail. Through on-site experience and project oversight, she has honed her product and design knowledge. Sarah personally enjoys a wide variety of design styles and aesthetics. In her off time, she enjoys being in nature, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
Gina’s love of design has been expressed in many ways throughout her life. She worked for 25 years in the makeup artist industry, using color theory and creative decision making. After years of renovating her own homes, as well as friends and family seeking design advice, she decided the interior design bug was here to stay. In her free time, you can catch her at church activities/ bible studies, working on her own home remodeling projects, or spending time with her fur babies and family.
Designing Women is blessed to have one of the original Designing Women still gracing us, part time, with her with her knowledge. With over 35 years of experience helping customers make selections for their home, Lynda’s style brings beauty and quality service to our customers; always with endless charm.
